Naam Shabana is the sequel of the Akshay Kumar starrer film Baby which was released last year. Baby was very appreciated by the audience. Naam Shabana will have a slightly different story plot from the previous film. You would definitely be surprised to know that Akshay is not going to play the lead actor in the film. Akshay will only have a special appearance in the movie Naam Shabana, will be releasing on March 31, 2017. The ‘Pink’ actress Taapsee Pannu would be playing the lead. This will be her first title role and of course she is very excited for it.

You must have appreciated the role of Priya Suryavanshi played by Tapsee Pannu in Baby. Actually the sequel is about that girl and how she became an undercover agent and got involved in the Baby mission. She struggles to get recruitment in the mission and the story is all about her struggle. So, in a way, we can say that Naam Shabana is a prequel, and not sequel, of Baby. Many women oriented movies like Queen, Kahani and more, are being successful on the box office.


Baby will be an action thriller film. It will be directed by Neeraj Pandey. The official announcement about the movie was made in September this year. Akshay Kumar shared on social media that this movie will definitely surprise everyone as this is will be a very unique attempt for the first time in Indian cinema. Taapsee Pannu is currently getting special training for martial arts. The film will be full of action scenes, just like Baby.


Along with the cameo of Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpayee will also be seen in the film. His acting skills are well known. Tapsee has made her place in the Bollywood, working with the great actors. She has worked with Akshay Kumar, the ‘Shehenshah of Bollywood’ Amitabh Bachchan and now, she has got the opportunity to work with Manoj Bajpayee. The Naam Shabana film will be released on 31st March 2017!
